My Story
Welcome to My Bicycling Adventures!
I finished bicycling through the Lower 48 United States by a connected route in June 2022, finishing all 50 states by riding in Hawaii in February 2023 and Alaska in July 2024. I am currently editing a memoir about riding across the U.S. and plan to write a second book that covers riding in all 50 states. This website will provide updates on my cycling and writing, with occasional training and touring tips.

Cycling highlights
My route connects several iconic cycling roads and trails, including the Greater Allegheny Passage, Chesapeake & Ohio Trail, Ohio-to-Erie Trail, most of Historic Route 66, the Natchez Trace, Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, the KATY Trail, and many miles along the East Coast Greenway from Maine to Key West. A 500-mile ride through New England started a day after running the Boston Marathon in 2019. My 50-state route includes trips to Niagara Falls, the Rocky and Cascade Mountains, the Mojave Desert, Hawaii, Alaska, and too many lonely roads to count. Books & Blog
I love riding and writing about riding. I endure editing and publishing but loathe the marketing aspect of being an author. I have one published book with versions of all my trip segments in various stages of editing and publication. My blog will include prepublication excerpts from my writing and occasional trip updates.
